Losing a pet can be a stressful and emotional experience, but we're here to help you reunite with your pet. HSSC partners with Petco Love Lost, a powerful national database that uses facial recognition technology to help locate lost pets. Simply upload a photo of your lost pet, and the system will search through thousands of found pet listings in shelters and communities across the country.

Lost pet owners can visit HSSC Monday-Sunday between 8am-5pm with extended hours until 6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Pet owners will be asked to bring ID and proof of ownership which may consist of photos and/or vet records. For more information, call (563) 388-6655 option 1.

If your pet is microchipped, inform the microchip company right away that your pet is lost and verify your contact information is up-to-date. If you aren't sure what microchip company your pet is connected to but have their microchip number on hand, click the link below. If you do not have the microchip number, contact your veterinarian or the organization you adopted your pet from.
