Pamela has been at the Humane Society of Scott County for 35 years. After graduating from Missouri State University with a degree in Animal Behavior Science, she spent time as a trainer at a national level before finding her home in the shelter world. Pam has been Director for 20 years in 2020 and has seen us through multiple building upgrades, and intake numbers over 7,000 per year.
All the way from Orange County, CA, Kathleen brings 32 years of experience to our shelter. She is well versed in disease management and control, animal welfare law and animal behavior, she is in charge of shelter operations on a day to day level.
Erika is a Virginia native who made the move to Iowa in 2019. Her love for the quad-cities has grown quickly, however she will always jokingly say the winters aren't for her. She has been working in animal welfare since 2014 and was enlisted in the Air National Guard for 7 years as well. She began at HSSC in 2019 as the Volunteer and Education Coordinator before transitioning that role in 2021 to one that focuses on all aspects of adoption promotion, pet enrichment, volunteer management, and education.
Charlotte has been with the shelter for 5 years, and has a wide variety of experience in accounting. She is currently working on her Master's Degree and has a cat at home named Precious (HSSC Alumni). In her spare time, she collects anything Mickey related.
Amanda is a California native and an air force veteran. What she enjoys most about working with pets in need is the chance to help the ones who need it most. At home, she has 2 cats and enjoys cosplay in her free time.
Angie has worked in various roles at the shelter over the course of the last 28 years. Her experience in animal well-being and front office work pair well as she performs adoptions and helps match potential adopters with their new pets. She is sometimes referred to as "the small dog whisperer" because of her love for dogs under 15 lbs who are often the most scared at the shelter.
